10 Globally Recognized Popular Data Centre Service Providers

Data centers are centralized locations for information storage. For storing, managing, and distributing enormous volumes of data for consumers, they include server farms and networking infrastructure. Data warehousing, data insights, data storage, and other services are examples of what a data center service could offer.

  1. Equinix: In 1998, Equinix was founded. Its corporate headquarters are located in Redwood City, California, on American soil. The company, which provided services to 24 countries, including the USA and the UK, as of 2017, employed 7273 individuals. It now boasts a vast worldwide network of 202 data centers after the addition of 12 more.
  2. Digital Realty: The headquarters of Digital Realty are situated in San Francisco, California, in the United States. The company employs over 1530 people and manages 214 data centres in addition to operating in 14 countries.
  3. China Telecom: China Telecom is one of the largest international providers of data center services. It was started in 2002 and has its main offices in Beijing. Despite only having ten countries where its services are available, the company supports mainland China with more than 456 data centers. There are 287,076 employees at the business.
  4. NTT Communications: NTT Communications was founded in 1999 and has its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The company has 48 data centers in total and operates in 17 different countries. It has about 310,000 employees worldwide.
  5. Telehouse/KDDI: This company is the result of the combination of two companies. KDDI was founded in 1953, whilst Telehouse was launched in 1988. Tokyo for the first, and London for the second. They operate in 12 different countries and have a total of 40 data centers. They employ 35,000 people worldwide.
  6. Coresite: Based in Denver, Colorado in the United States, Coresite was founded in 2001. There are almost 454 employees. There are now 22 data center locations spread across 8 nations.
  7. Verizon: Based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Verizon was founded in 1983 and has its US headquarters there. The organization employs more than 139,400 employees. It has about 40 data centers and offers its services in about 150 different nations.
  8. Cyxtera Technologies: Based in Coral Gables, Florida, in the United States, Cyxtera was founded in 2017. It employs about 1150 people and has operations in 9 nations. It has 60 data centers throughout the world.
  9. China Unicom: Based in Beijing, China Unicom was founded in 1994. It has roughly 246,299 employees and runs 550 data centers. The corporation primarily serves the markets of Hong Kong and mainland China.
  10. Amazon Web Services: Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services is a branch of Amazon. It employs almost 25,000 people, and its US headquarters are in Seattle, Washington. It has 116 data centers throughout the world.
