MeitY’s Cyber Surakshit Bharat project seeks to improve frontline IT officials’ and chief information security officers’ (CISOs) skills and knowledge of cybercrime among government ministries. NeGD organized the 43rd CISO Deep-Dive training session, which brought together participants from various states at the Indian Institute of Public Administration in New Delhi from April 8–12, 2024.
The initial session, which aimed to educate CISOs on cyber-attacks, the newest safeguard technologies, legal provisions, and crisis management plans, was attended by senior officials from MeitY, NeGD, and IIPA. The program’s objectives are to support Digital India, build an ecosystem that is cyber-resilient, and give government agencies the tools they need to improve cyber hygiene, safety, and security.
Over 1,604 CISOs and IT officials have been trained through the PPP-based CISO training program since its debut in 2018, making it a significant collaboration between the government and business community. The program has been done in 43 batches.
