India is currently battling a major second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, with an alarming oxygen supply crisis. In such a situation a non-profit consortium called Swasth app is lending a helping hand.
Are you looking for an oxygen concentrator, plasma donors, or hospital bed? for yourself or your loved ones? Swasth along with ACT Grants have launched a website called liferesources.in where you will be able to find all the necessary details to help you.
Swasth, an that is much more than a telemedicine app, has created a single source of high-quality, clinically validated protocol by ensuring that a Covid-19 patient does not suffer from misinformation.
The app directs patients to various service providers – be it to buy medicines online, finding plasma donors, searching for nearest hospitals or to provide updates on bed availability. It also provides the phone numbers of these hospitals.
Amidst the shortage of oxygen cylinders and concentrators, Swasth, an initiative promoted by a group of health and technology professionals, is raising funds to help hospitals across the country get immediate access to oxygen concentrators.
The estimated need for India is almost ~200,000 oxygen concentrators. So far, Swasth has already procured 10,000 concentrators that will be deployed by next week. The campaign is looking to raise Rs 1.5 crores fund and is still looking for individuals to contribute to the efforts.
The demand/ supply and the distribution mechanism will all be published in the public domain to ensure that the highest transparency and every single donor sees the impact of their contribution.
