On June 28, a 582,689-sq ft campus, which is the second phase of T-Hub,was inaugurated by the Telangana government.
The government aims to ‘impact’ 20,000 startups in the next five years. Which once started as a startup incubator housed in a building in IIIT Hyderabad, is now the ‘world’s largest innovation campus’. With an effective carpet area of 350,000 sq. ft, first 6 floors of the 10-storeyed building will host the 1,000 seats for startups.
The 10-storeyed Building
An 18,000 square feet area on the 6th floor shall be allocated to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and AIC T-Hub Foundation.
AIC T-Hub Foundation is an association formed at T-Hub, in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog.
The Department of Science and Technology’s (DST) Centre of Excellence is assigned the 7th floor. This department works on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) project, along with social impact startups and young entrepreneurs (Y-Hub) have been given the eighth and ninth floors.
Equipped with fixed, flexible, and private office spaces, meeting rooms, floor pantries, a cafeteria, etc. the building stands on 4 pillars as a plank.
An atrium with 400 seating capacity and designated areas for the corporates are offered in the two event rooms with AV systems.
Support to 20000 startups : CEO
CEO of T-Hub, Mahankali Srinivas Rao said that the verticals like EV/Mobility, Healthtech, Enterprise tech, Gaming and Artificial Intelligence will be the focus of stakeholders. He added “We aim to support over 2,000 startups and provide the required lift to these entrepreneurs by offering them access to the 6Ms and 2Ps through global partnerships”.
Inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, dignitaries like Cyient’s BVR Mohan Reddy and others were also present during the ceremony in the building.
Internationalisation and capacity building with new foreign partnerships with Bangladesh and Uzbekistan shall be the focus, said the officials.
