On Thursday, the industrial automation division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, which is an entity owned by Wipro Enterprises, made the announcement that it will acquire Linecraft.ai, an AI-enabled company situated in Pune, for a price that was not disclosed.
Linecraft.ai enables manufacturers to improve their operational efficiency and productivity in real time by leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), as well as automation domain expertise. This allows Linecraft.ai to empower manufacturers to get more productivity and quality out of their operations.
“This acquisition will further help us expand our digital capabilities and offer turnkey automation solutions with a bolt-on digital layer which provides deep insights and analytics to customers,” said Pratik Kumar, CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering. “We will be able to offer these solutions with a digital layer that provides deep insights and analytics to customers” (WIN).
A group of AI and machine learning (ML) specialists and software engineers developed the Linecraft.ai programme using a patented algorithm.
After the recent acquisition of premier Industrial Automation company PARI, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering stated that this acquisition represents an important milestone in the strategic development of the group in the digital arena.
According to G Sundararaman, Co-CEO of Wipro PARI, “Linecraft.ai software assists our clients in determining which procedures are causing bottlenecks in complex industrial environments.”
According to Kumar, the patented system collects and analyses vast volumes of data from industrial machinery. It then offers ways to optimise efficiency via AI and ML, which results in a considerable enhancement of the client value proposition.
Over 1,500 automated systems have been implemented all over the world by the industrial automation vertical that is part of the Wipro PARI entity. This has been done for more than 75 different customers all over the world.
Pune and Detroit are both home to cutting-edge facilities that belong to Wipro PARI (the US).
