The most recent preview of Bing and Edge now includes a brand-new tool called “Bing Image Creator” from Microsoft that enables users to generate images from written descriptions using an upgraded DALL-E model from OpenAI.
Microsoft notifies Bing Preview users via Bing chat that the capability is now available in Microsoft Edge for desktop and mobile users everywhere in English.
The company added that it planned to integrate Image Maker into Edge through the beta browser’s new Bing button in conversation mode. Users of Picture Maker can choose an art form, add additional context, such as location or activity, and generate images from their descriptions.
It functions as a creative partner for users, enabling them to create images for a variety of goals, such as a newsletter for friends or inspiration for home design, by simply entering suggestions like “create an image” or “draw an image” in chat. This functionality is described in a Microsoft blog post.
In addition to the picture generator, Bing will introduce Visual Storytelling and Knowledge Cards 2.0. Microsoft is making these features available to all Bing users to meet the growing demand for enhanced visual search experiences.
Customers can quickly and easily understand interesting facts and critical information thanks to Knowledge Cards 2.0, an AI-powered infographic-like presentation. Timelines, graphs, charts, and visual storytelling are all included in the upgrade’s dynamic, interactive content.
