In the UK and Ireland, Spotify has debuted its new AI DJ, which uses artificial intelligence to learn about your listening preferences and suggest new songs to you.
When Spotify first introduced its new AI DJ function in February, it characterised it as a “personalised AI guide that knows you and your music taste so well that it can choose what to play for you.”
Following an upsurge in demand in these regions, Spotify’s developers have now formally confirmed additional information about the AI DJ feature and stated that it has been introduced in the UK and Ireland.
According to Spotify, the new AI function is all about “connection and discovery,” and it utilises a combination of OpenAI and customization technology under the direction of Spotify’s music specialists. A dynamic host/DJ voice is also included in the new function, which was also developed using AI.
Following the launch of the new feature, Spotify released an official statement that stated: “When we were considering where to offer DJ next, the UK and Ireland just made sense. Some of DJ’s essential technology has been created in the area, where we have a team of local music professionals on the ground.
Currently in beta, Spotify’s new DJ tool will be accessible to all Premium subscribers. Other music news includes the recent EP release by Summer Walker.
