We refer to algorithms that can produce new content, including text, audio, video, graphic designs, and more, as generative artificial intelligence (AI). Every time you play a video game, there are different plotlines and tasks. Conversations with NPCs that feel like they are your friends. These are only a few of the potential improvements that generative AI may provide a gaming studio.
While we haven’t yet seen any AAA games that have been significantly improved by generative AI, Chinese game developer NetEase claimed to have committed $97 million to the development of Justice Mobile, a mobile MMO that is powered by generative AI.
NPCs in the game will be more lifelike because they are powered by AI. The open world’s structure, the NPCs’ endings, and the game plot could all be affected by the decisions players make, the game’s creator stated in a statement announcing the game’s release date of June 30.
