To foster innovation in cutting-edge technologies like IoT, AI, robotics, and others, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) officially opened the “Centre of Excellence on IoT and AI” at the Andhra University Campus in Visakhapatnam. This was done in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
By offering open labs and infrastructure for developing and evaluating solutions from concept to prototype, the new institution supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a “Digital India” and democratizes innovation. By offering a venue for peer-to-peer learning and the benefits of working in an industrial environment, it also promotes entrepreneurship. The opening of the new hub is expected to benefit start-ups in the state by giving them more alternatives for growth, mentorship, funding, and industry adoption of their concepts. At the moment, the COE is working with companies eager to create fresh solutions alongside start-ups.
The IoT and AI Centre of Excellence is a step towards impactful solutions to practical issues. The goal is to encourage technological adoption and increase industry competitiveness on a worldwide scale. The center’s main goal will be to give businesses, startups, and academia unparalleled opportunities through leveraging artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
