On Thursday, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) at the Center worked with innovation hub and ecosystem enabler T-Hub to open the first-ever machine learning and artificial intelligence technology hub (MATH). As a Center of Excellence (CoE), MATH hopes to support more than 150 companies a year and create over 500 jobs connected to AI by 2025.
Mahankali Srinivas Rao, CEO of T-Hub, stated, “Together, T-Hub and MATH will empower entrepreneurs to harness the power of AI and ML, driving meaningful change and propelling India onto the global stage of technological leadership.”
The AI market in India is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25–35 percent and reach $17 billion by 2027.
The center is a critical turning point in “our journey towards harnessing the potential of AI and ML to drive innovation and create impact,” according to Rahul Paith, CEO of MATH. MATH presents state-of-the-art facilities that include a solid data infrastructure to serve various AI applications, a learning management system (LMS) for AI teaching, and a tiny data center with GPU capabilities.
According to T-Hub (Technology Hub), a Hyderabad-based organization, it has supported more than 3,000 entrepreneurs that have garnered $1.9 billion in funding.
