The five-day Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications Skill Development Program got underway today at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
The program, which is run by the School of Computer Science and Engineering and funded by the Higher Education Department of the Government of J&K, intends to give participants useful knowledge and abilities in the quickly developing disciplines of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.
Institutions from all around J&K, including SKUAST Jammu, UIET Kathua, Central University Jammu, and Kashmir University, have expressed interest in participating in the event.
Vice-Chancellor of SMVDU Prof. Pragati Kumar was the main guest during the opening ceremony. He emphasized concepts like startups and entrepreneurship, instilling values like lifelong learning, and holding the audience enthralled with his words of motivation and inspiration.
The program is coordinated by Prof. K R Jha, Dean of the SMVDU Faculty of Engineering, with Co-Coordinators Drs. Manoj Kumar Gupta and Pooja Sharma.
Distinguished attendees at the first event included Dr. Karan Singh from JNU Delhi and Dr. Shitala Prasad from IIT Goa, who would impart their knowledge and perspectives to the attendees. During the five-day program, renowned academics from esteemed institutions including as IITs, NITs, CSIR, and JNU together with industry professionals will give lectures to aid in closing the gap between industry and academia in the modern era.
Dr. Pooja Sharma offered the official vote of gratitude. Payel Maken, Komal Bhardwaj, Subhag Sharma, Tushar Taggar, Rajat, Hiridyanshu, Achyut, and Rudraksh are among the students coordinating the event.
