The Golden Peacock Award Goes To APTRANSCO

The prominent “Golden Peacock Award” was given to the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTRANSCO) for developing day-ahead power demand forecasting utilizing machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).

The 31st World Congress on Leadership for Business Excellence & Innovation and the Presentation of the Golden Peacock Award at Global Convention-2024, organized by the Institute of Directors (UAE), took place in Abu Dhabi from March 5 to 8, and APTRANSCO joint managing director KVN Chakradhar Babu accepted the award during the event.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was updated on the accomplishments by Energy Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Special Chief Secretary (energy), APTRANSCO CMD K Vijayanand, and JMD KVN Chakradhar Babu during a meeting with him on Tuesday. According to Vijayanand, APTRANSCO used the model to ensure more accurate demand projections and a more flexible approach to power consumption patterns.
