AI-Data Science Scholarship, PNB MetLife Awards, Empowering Women In Tech

Recipient of the AGBA-PNB MetLife AI-Data Science scholarship offered by premier insurer PNB MetLife was revealed. The award is a reflection of PNB MetLife’s initiatives to support gender diversity in all industries and advance female talent in technology.
The scholarship was given out as part of the Ministry of Electronics and IT’s (Gov. of India) Aegis Graham Bell Award (AGBA) National Talent Hunt program. The program’s goal is to find, identify, and develop young talent across India who have the potential to lead the country in artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, deep learning, and analytics.
Vijaya Lakshmi Dasari of Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women was given the scholarship by Shri Nitin Gadkariji, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, in honor of her outstanding academic record and potential for major contributions to the technology industry. Aegis School of Data Science Dean Dr. Abhijit Gangopadhyay, NBA Chairman, EC National Assessment and Accreditation Council Chairman, Mr. Vineet Maheshwari, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Information Technology Officer, PNB MetLife, Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of National Educational Technology Forum, and Mr. Bhupesh Daheria, Founder of Aegis Graham Bell Awards, were among the distinguished guests who joined the Honorable Minister.
