According to officials, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has chosen to use artificial intelligence (AI) in its virtual courts in order to make it easier for customers to file complaints. According to officials, the application of AI and machine learning (ML) would facilitate the filing of complaints, the prioritisation and filtering of cases, the alerting of complainants or officials, and the tracking of cases.
According to officials, RERA has published an expression of interest (EOI) to solicit submissions from professionals and organisations interested in developing the project. An intelligent quasi-judicial decision-making system is being conceptualised, developed, and implemented by Indian consulting or IT firms. The purpose of RERA is to act as a smart court that handles disputes related to the real estate industry.
In order to make sure that RERA functions as a smart court, we seek to use emerging technologies like AI, ML, and natural language processing (NLP), according to Rajive Kumar, chairman of UP RERA. We want the authority to handle complaints fairly, transparently, and promptly. The authority will function effectively and seamlessly thanks to artificial intelligence, even while handling complicated complaints or other responsibilities. Big data analysis, rapid machine learning, neural networks, pattern recognition, self-learning, predictive analytics, data science, and other areas will all benefit from it.
Since e-courts have been the standard for almost three years during this difficult time, the RERA claimed that the pandemic has motivated homebuyers to submit complaints digitally. On the RERA website, you can find information on the project’s objectives, scope of work, required qualifications, submission processes, and evaluation criteria. Expressions of interest must be received by 1500 hrs. on May 26, 2023.
The online form on the RERA website is where consultants can submit their proposals. RERA will follow the regulations once businesses file their applications, seek presentations, and choose the one that complies with the standards stipulated, according to an RERA representative.
The Uttar Pradesh government launched a website for customer complaints in July 2017 after the RERA Act was passed in 2016. Customers who pay a charge of $1,000 can file a complaint, and they can anticipate a result in 60 days. Virtual tribunals were set up for complainants during the pandemic and went entirely digital. RERA hopes to improve its performance with new technology, fixing difficulties quickly and seamlessly to better serve consumers.
