Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), a government organisation, has released an application call for its annual innovation competition Dare to Dream, which encourages research in a variety of fields related to emerging technologies such as drone technology, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Facts to consider
There will be two application categories: Individual and Start-up.
The applicants must be Indian citizens who are at least 18 years old.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), which is a division of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, shall acknowledge the start-ups.
Four people at most, including the team captain, may compete in the individual division.
The participants should not be DRDO personnel or DRDO employees’ families.
Participants may submit their concepts for original solutions in ten different fields.
The challenges that the participants desire to submit to must be chosen by them. They are eligible to apply for up to five challenge areas.
A monetary prize of Rs. 5 lakh will be granted to the winning individual, and Rs. 10 lakh will be given to the winning start-up.

Participants must register on the DRDO website using an email address and a phone number before applying.
Online applications will be accepted.

The submissions commenced on January 7, 2023.
The deadline for entries is February 28, 2023.
