According to a corporate blog post, online learning startup Udacity has launched a new course titled “Discovering Ethical AI” in response to new federal guidelines for rules governing the morally and safely application of AI.
The company added that this course, along with three others, would be free to access until May 11 and will be updated whenever new knowledge in this quickly developing sector becomes available.
Intel’s AI software architect Ria Cheruvu will be teaching the session. The course focuses on the justifications, tenets, and rules/guidelines for integrating ethics into the creation of AI models. More precisely, the training will:
Give a definition and an overview of ethical AI;
Determine the stakeholders in AI ethics; Integrate ethics into AI lifecycles;
Determine an AI lifecycle’s steps;
Examine case studies; and
Analyze ethical AI issues, such as biased visuals and damaging chatbot material.
The online course “Discovering Ethical AI” lasts for one hour. Until May 11, three additional complimentary one-hour AI “discovery” courses are available: “Discovering Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,” “Discovering Data Science,” and “Discovering Digital Transformation.”
Additional AI courses that are longer and more complex are available through Udacity’s membership plan. Students can pay monthly, quarterly, or yearly for the plan, which grants them access to all course materials across several programs. Additionally, scholarships are offered.
