Artificial intelligence (AI)–based technology has created new opportunities for improvement in several crucial areas, including the environment, education, and health. In some situations, AI might work more efficiently or effectively than humans.
Education is not enough for robots. Distinctions between people, machines, and the four main categories of artificial intelligence must be eliminated. It has short-term memory, reactive machinery, theory of mind, and self-awareness.
Adaptive AI
Memoryless and task-oriented, reactive AI systems always react in the same manner to the same input. The bulk of machine learning models react to consumer input like search or purchase histories by offering personalized suggestions. In systems like self-driving automobiles, reactive artificial intelligence is frequently dependable and effective.
The proper data must be presented to make an accurate prediction of what will happen. However, humans have the capacity for memory and learning. As a result, most of their activities are not reprisals.
AI with a little memory
The next phase of AI development is limited memory AI. Because it closely resembles how the neurons in our brains cooperate, this algorithm learns as it is given additional data to train on. Deep learning improves picture recognition and other reinforcement learning techniques.
restricted memory Unlike reactive robots, AI can look into the past and trace specific events or objects over time. Due to memory limitations, the AI cannot keep this knowledge in its memory as experience from which it could learn, as a person could do when analyzing their successes and mistakes.
AI Theory of Mind
The next, more advanced class of machines produces world representations in addition to those of other agents or entities. It is crucial to how individuals build communities since it allows us to interact with others. Cooperating is difficult and at best impossible without taking into account what others know about me or the surroundings, as well as each other’s goals and ambitions.
Self-aware AI
The highest stage of AI development would involve creating systems that have a sense of self and are aware of their existence. There is currently no such AI.
This goes beyond the theory of mind AI and comprehending emotions and includes self-awareness, state awareness, and the capacity to detect or foresee the emotions of others in addition to the ability to understand emotions. “I’m hungry,” for example, may alter to “I know I’m hungry,” “I want to eat lasagna because it’s my favorite food,” etc.
