Gati Enterprise Management System (GEMS) 2.0 is a product of a partnership between Tech Mahindra and Gati Limited, a member of the Allcargo Group. “Gati’s core operational software system, GEMS 2.0, aims to offer an enhanced customer experience and a modern tech-driven interface while increasing efficiency and lowering costs,” the business claimed.
The program makes use of Tech Mahindra’s know-how and concentrates on cloud-native applications, reinforcing the company’s dedication and investment in next-generation digital transformation and Cloud efforts. The partnership’s main goal is to replace Gati’s software with cloud-based, digital, scalable, and more agile software.
“The logistics and supply chain business is revolutionizing operational efficiency and customer interaction through the strategic deployment of cutting-edge, data-driven solutions. According to Vivek Agarwal, President – APJI (Enterprise), Corporate Development, Tech Mahindra, “Our partnership with Gati in designing and developing GEMS 2.0 will help the organization boost productivity, unlock new business opportunities, scale performance, and lead the tech-led transformation narrative in the express logistics segment.”
Gati will be able to completely custom-create GEMS 2.0 throughout the following 18 to 24 months with Tech Mahindra, covering all first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile activities. The program will be created in modules such as Pickup, Delivery, En-route, Customer Contracts, Invoicing, and others.
“This partnership is a major step forward in delivering operational excellence and a superior customer experience and is part of Allcargo Group’s continued focus on empowering Gati to reach greater heights,” said Pirojshaw (Phil) Sarkari, MD and CEO, Gati Express and Supply Chain Pvt. Ltd. (GESCPL).
To ensure consistent performance across the geography of the company’s activities, GEMS 2.0’s architecture will be microservices-based, event-driven through rule engines, with an infrastructure designed and developed on the cloud. Data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence will all be used in GEMS 2.0.
The primary goals of building GEMS, a sophisticated real-time Enterprise Resource Planning technology, were to prioritize customers, streamline procedures, and improve workflow management. GS Ravi, EVP & Group CIO, Gati Limited, stated that developing GEMS was a part of Gati’s transition from a significant express delivery player to an end-to-end logistics organization.
