The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)’s CERT-In and Google Cloud joined forces on Thursday to work on generative artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, which is a big step towards improving the cybersecurity knowledge of students and government workers in India.
“We express our appreciation to the Ministry for their vision and cooperation. To provide new safe and secure services for Indians nationwide, we are working together to create collaborations and facilitate the development of vital skills, according to Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud.
Along with training government officials in cybersecurity, Google will also provide 1,000,000 scholarships to students for its Google Cyber Security Certificate program.
“Our digital future’s cornerstone is cybersecurity, and using the power of generative AI can help us stay ahead in this constantly changing environment. According to Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT-In, the collaboration will improve and accelerate the development of skilled labor in our nation’s cyber security and generative AI fields.
On the other hand, Google Cloud and the government’s ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) have declared their partnership to improve e-commerce in India with generative artificial intelligence (AI).
A nationwide hackathon organized by ONDC and Google Cloud will start soon to foster creativity and tackle pressing issues affecting India’s next billion internet users.
