The India Data Management Office (IDMO), which is envisioned under the National Program on AI, would need a name, thus the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has announced a naming competition on the MyGov website.
The proposed office aims to enhance public sector data’s availability, quality, and utilisation in order to stimulate data-driven governance, decision-making, and the development of an ecosystem for data-based innovation and study.
MeitY is searching for a creative name that is distinctive, memorable, and captures the mission and aims of the office.
Designing data standards, data quality measurements, and related tools and frameworks are among the IDMO’s main goals. This will make it possible for an ecosystem of data-driven innovation, governance, and research.
The IDMO will also increase through training and sensitization the capability of data functionaries inside government organisations engaged in data consolidation, management, and sharing operations.
The proposed name and a succinct justification of why the proposed name is a good fit for the data management office will be included in the submissions submitted through the contest.
