Dec. 9, 2022, ANN ARBOR, Mich. /PRNewswire/ MemryX Inc., a trailblazing firm specialising in boosting artificial intelligence (AI) processing for edge devices, declared today the opening of an engineering centre in Bangalore, India.
The inauguration of the Bangalore location complements the engineering capabilities already available at the MemryX facilities in Taipei, Hsinchu, and Ann Arbor. MemryX is a unique Edge AI solution that is high efficiency, low power, scalable, and simple to implement, benefiting both end users and designers. The technology developed by MemryX has end uses in autos, industrial IoT, security cameras, and metaverse software.
According to industry veteran Jayaprakash (Jay) Bharadwaj, who oversees the Bangalore location, “as the world continues to become more reliant on AI, many traditional chip makers continue to extend existing architectures and make challenging tradeoffs in terms of power, performance, cost, compatibility, and ease of deployment.” “Our dedication to create distinctive core architectures designed from the ground up to deliver customer-friendly features is underscored by the recent launch of our R&D facility in Bangalore.”
While the U.S. and China have been at the forefront of AI development in recent years, India is quickly developing into a hub for the technology, with numerous firms appearing in recent months.
According to MemryX president and CEO Keith Kressin, “The Edge AI hardware market will continue to develop at a fast CAGR for the foreseeable future, and MemryX is set to capitalise on this growth with our cutting-edge AI accelerator.” We can access the talent pool in the region that has a wealth of semiconductor experience and is rapidly developing its artificial intelligence capabilities thanks to our growth into India.
MemryX, which Dr. Wei Lu co-founded in 2019, is trying to create a top AI accelerator for edge devices. Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan, Dr. Lu spent nearly three years at MemryX creating and validating the company’s distinctive strategy after spending over ten years researching memory-centric computing architectures. His proficiency in memory systems and neuromorphic computing is well-known on a global scale.
MemryX is now hiring in Bangalore and demonstrating its MX3 AI Accelerator product to partners and clients in a number of international locations. At the forthcoming Consumer Electronics show, which will take place the week of January 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada, demonstrations will only be conducted by invitation.
