The inauguration of the Bangalore location complements the engineering capabilities already available at the MemryX facilities in Taipei, Hsinchu, and Ann Arbor. MemryX is a unique Edge AI solution that is high efficiency, low power, scalable, and simple to implement, benefiting both end users and designers. The technology developed by MemryX has end uses in autos, industrial IoT, security cameras, and metaverse software. According to industry veteran Jayaprakash (Jay) Bharadwaj, who oversees the Bangalore location, “as the world continues to become more reliant on AI, many traditional chip makers continue to extend existing architectures and make challenging tradeoffs in terms of power, performance, cost, compatibility, and ease of deployment.” “Our dedication to create distinctive core architectures designed from the ground up to deliver customer-friendly features is underscored by the recent launch of our R&D facility in Bangalore.”
While the U.S. and China have been at the forefront of AI development in recent years, India is quickly developing into a hub for the technology, with numerous firms appearing in recent months.

MemryX, a company co-founded in 2019 by Dr. Wei Lu, is trying to create a top AI accelerator for edge devices.
