According to an official announcement, the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has opened enrollment for fresh cohorts of eMasters degree programmes in response to the country’s expanding industrial demands.
Applications are being accepted for a number of new cohorts in the following fields: public policy, next-generation wireless technologies, cyber security, business finance, data science and analytics, financial technology and management, business finance, financial analysis, and power sector regulation, economics, and management.
Applications are now being accepted for the first cohort of four new eMasters degree programmes that IIT Kanpur has introduced, in addition to its current offerings. These programs are in the following areas: Climate Finance and Sustainability, Renewable Energy and e-Mobility, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Business Leadership in the Digital Age.
While the Renewable Energy and e-Mobility program seeks to serve the rapidly developing alternative energy sector, the Climate Finance and Sustainability program seeks to provide a broad overview of financial strategies and sustainable initiatives in the face of pressing issues related to sustainability and climate change. As per the official statement, the program on business leadership in the digital age will focus on upskilling professionals in modern business dynamics, while the program on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) aims to prepare professionals to be adept at the rapidly evolving sector.
With no GATE requirement, these executive-focused eMasters degree programs enable professionals to further their education without jeopardizing their careers. According to the authorities, the programs provide a flexible completion period of one to three years, accommodating a range of schedules.
These programs are built around a live, interactive class format that is only offered on weekends and is supplemented by self-paced learning. Every program has a 12-module, 60-credit curriculum that has been carefully designed to meet industry demands.
Additionally, by utilizing the credit transfer function, participants may be able to waive up to 60 credits for use toward future MTech or PhD programs at IIT Kanpur. The programmes also provide participants with access to the vast alumni network and employment and incubation cells on the campus of IIT Kanpur, hence augmenting their professional advancement and networking prospects.
