October 30, 2023

According to US-based consulting firm McKinsey, generative AI has the potential to boost the world economy by $4.4 trillion a year. By 2060, half of the world’s job will be largely automated by startups, according to a McKinsey report. It is anticipated that in the coming months, funding for Indian startups would shift from creative applications to the creation of corporate infrastructure.

As of May 2023, 60 companies from various industries made up the Indian generative AI ecosystem, according to a Nasscom research. This industry has received about $590 million in investments, with 2022 seeing the largest inflow of capital. According to a report released on July 27 by SaaSBoomi and McKinsey, the number of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) firms in India that rely on generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) has more than doubled since 2021 and has raised $590 million in funding as of May 2023. It’s a reaction to the growing acceptance of Gen AI technologies like ChatGPT.

To produce “original” art, generative AI employs models that have been trained on enormous datasets that include text, photos, audio, and video. These open applications have various uses in the fields of marketing, advertising, sales, media, gaming, graphic design, product design, legal, coding, architecture, and many more. The top generative AI startups in India are listed below.
