At the 2023 Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit, which took place in Delhi from the 12th to the 14th of December and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the startup Qure.ai, which is based in Mumbai and is a leading artificial intelligence (AI) solutions provider for imaging technology, was awarded the first prize at the AI Gamechanger Awards.
The summit, which was hosted by India, featured an event similar to a shark tank, in which several artificial intelligence firms from a variety of industries, including healthcare, agriculture, and gene mapping, presented their presentations.
The AI Gamechanger Awards were launched with the intention of recognizing innovative approaches to the application of artificial intelligence across a variety of industries. The reward was split between Qure.ai, which won the Global Health category, and Neodocs Healthcare, which is a company that offers quick lab tests which can be performed on smartphones.
The winning solution from Qure is called qXR software for Chest X-rays. It provides rapid interpretation of chest X-rays based on artificial intelligence and has the ability to detect up to thirty anomalies in the lungs, such as signs of pulmonary tuberculosis, lung nodules, and other diseases. It was possible for the healthcare professionals to improve the accuracy and reach of tuberculosis screening using chest X-rays that are performed on a daily basis by incorporating quantitative X-rays into the existing healthcare framework.
