Samsung India has divulged that the company intends to ramp up its recruitment efforts in the country. The corporation has research and development institutes located all over India and is looking to staff them with one thousand new engineers. The business makes the claim that these engineers will be able to work for the massive technology company in South Korea by the year 2023. The primary objective of the hiring is to facilitate the development of cutting-edge technologies at Samsung’s research and development institutes in Bengaluru, Noida, and Delhi, as well as at the Samsung Semiconductor India Research facility in Bengaluru.
Engineers from a variety of subfields, including computer science and its related fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and very large scale integration (VLSI), as well as information technology, electronics, instrumentation, embedded systems, and communication networks, will be sought out by Samsung for employment. In addition, the electronic manufacturing company will hire people with backgrounds in fields such as mathematics, computing, and software engineering.
Sameer Wadhawan, head of human resources for Samsung India, made the following statement: “Samsung’s R&D centres aim to hire new talent from India’s top engineering institutes in order to strengthen their focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology. These individuals will work on game-changing innovations, technologies, products, and designs, including India-centric innovations, that enrich people’s lives.”
Around two hundred engineers will be recruited from Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) like IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, and IIT BHU, among others. Samsung R&D centres will be located in India. Additionally, they have extended more than 400 Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) to students enrolled at IITs and other prestigious educational institutions.
One of the few remaining tech giants that is actively recruiting new employees is Samsung. The Research and Development Institutes of the company are the ones responsible for the numerous patents that the South Korean brand has applied for. There have been patent applications submitted in various fields, including 5G, AI, ML, IoT, camera and vision technologies.
