By the goals of the National Education Policy 2020, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and a data science platform have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to offer a one-year postgraduate diploma in artificial intelligence and machine learning this academic year.
The SPPU and Rubiscape Private Limited, a data science platform that will create the course material and train faculty to conduct the program, have signed a memorandum of agreement.
Together with the Department of Technology at SPPU, the advanced curriculum was created with the NEP2020 goals in mind. This MoU-required curriculum has been examined and approved.
The creation of a cutting-edge AI-data science application lab at SPPU’s Department of Technology will be the program’s high point.
According to Prashant Pansare, founder and CEO of Rubiscape India, “This lab will offer the curriculum designed for AI and machine learning along with practice in the hands-on lab for students and faculty so that they learn not only theory and concepts but also have access to a toolset where they can practice and develop their indigenous solutions and innovations.
” We will provide students with access to tools that are typically very expensive and difficult to install and run at the AI-DS Application Lab.
The course will consist of three parts: theory, practice, and tool instruction. Building capsule projects and developing solutions would be emphasized, he said.
“Traditional academic boundaries have changed as a result of AI and machine learning. Aditya Abhyankar, the head of the Department of Technology SPPU, noted that this program uses an interdisciplinary approach to recruit individuals from a variety of fields, including computer science, engineering, mathematics, and beyond.
“This diversity of perspectives enriches the learning experience and mirrors the collaborative nature of AI development,” he continued.
