The tech behemoth Google said on Monday that it would be accepting applications for the seventh batch of its startup accelerator program in India. This program is designed to support entrepreneurs that want to take use of the promise of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
A three-month, equity-free accelerator program for Seed to Series A IT firms in India is called Google for Startups Accelerator (GFSA). Almost 130 firms in India have used it to speed up their growth thus far.
Google is seeking to fund firms that are centered on utilizing the game-changing technologies AI and ML for the upcoming batch.
The IT giant stated in a statement, “We are looking for Indian companies working across multiple sectors leveraging AI and ML to solve complex problems and confront the greatest challenges in their industry.
The deadline for GFSA applications is April 23.
Startups with offices in India that operate in a variety of industries and use or plan to use data or AI/ML are eligible to apply. According to Google, they should ideally be in the Seed to Series A stages.
The chosen startups will be mentored and given support in the areas of AI/ML, cloud computing, user experience, android, web, product strategy, and growth.
The accelerator offers deep dives and workshops on product design, customer acquisition, and founders’ leadership development in addition to mentorship and technical project support.
A demo day that brings founders together, raises startup visibility, and facilitates relationships with other ecosystem builders across India will cap off the course.
