ESSCI is a dynamic organization that works for the ESDM industry. This exciting project is planned to sweep the country and spark the creativity of young minds. It is being carried out in collaboration with the CSC Academy, an organization under the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY).
The Olympiad aims to reach every school, ensuring equal chances for children across the country, according to Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ESSCI, who expressed her enthusiasm for the idea. This one-of-a-kind Olympiad is open to all students in grades VI through XII and will be held entirely online between December 15, 2023, and January 15, 2024. The results are expected to be released during the first week of February 2024. The competition will run for 60 minutes and concentrate on Electronics & IT’s common curriculum.
The “National Electronics & IT Olympiad” registration period began immediately and will end in October 2023. The nation has been divided into six zones, and the top five students in each zone, regardless of subject or class, will get scholarships, which will be paid straight into their bank accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis for a year. In addition, scholarships will be awarded to the top 5 students in each class at the national level based on their overall performance in Electronics & IT, Mathematics, Science, Best of English, or Hindi.
Students who perform very well and are ranked 6th to 50th in each zone will be awarded medals and certificates at both the zonal and national levels. Additionally, all students who achieve a score of 70% or higher will be awarded a digital Certificate of Excellence, recognizing their commitment and subject-matter proficiency. The “National Electronics & IT Olympiad”‘s best performers are honored at prominent events, along with the principals and teacher coordinators of the participating schools, as well as top scorers at the zonal and national levels.
Dr. Gaur emphasized that the Electronics & IT Olympiad helps students succeed academically and socially by developing important traits like resilience and motivation in addition to improving their competitive ability. “We firmly believe that this initiative will ignite the passion for Electronics & IT in young minds, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future careers and contribute significantly to their communities,” she continued.
