Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today said that the district administration has started telemedicine further strengthen Covid care in the district. Briefing the media persons about the new facility, the DC urged the people of the District to avail the same. The service can be availed very easily by anyone. In this connection, the DC added that registration/training process of telemedicine has been completed and real time consultation of patients has been started.
Under MPLADS, Rs 32 lakh was provided to the District Administration for implementation of telemedicine facility viz installation of CCTV Cameras in Covid Complex at District Hospital, Digital Radiography system camera for X-Ray machine in Covid Complex at DH, Construction of telemedicine consultancy room with logistic at DH, Stretchers, Wheel chairs, Construction of telemedicine consultancy room with logistics at CHCs and PHCs, Covid Bio markers lab testing in DH, Strengthening of infrastructure for Covid wards etc.
The DC said that Udhampur Administration has divided it into 03 components like District Hospital PHCs and CHCs level in the district. She said that the training process is going on in which 52 points have been prepared in the district.
The DC said that the District Administration is trying to provide generic medicines to people of Udhampur District as early as possible. She further said that Udhampur Administration and health society has initiated facebook live sessions to address mental health issues of people.
In this regard, the people can seek medical consultation through telemedicine from the renowned and reputed doctors of Udhampur free of cost while sitting in homes as it would help them to save their time and money. She said that district hospital Udhampur has equipped with the entire requisite infrastructure and is ready to provide online consultation to the real time patients effectively.
She also informed about the live facebook session initiative for COVID -19 patients and general public of the district being held by District Administration Udhampur and (ISM) Ayush. The DC requested the general public to watch the Yoga sessions daily and improve their immunity. She added that the main objective of organizing this yoga session is to enable the Covid -19 patients to regain health by practicing yoga.
