The Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Incubation Center has opened in Bengaluru, according to a recent announcement by Crayon Software Experts India (Crayon), a leading provider of digital transformation services worldwide. Established in partnership with Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India), the center is the first of its kind for Crayon in India. It will assist startups and ISVs based in India in creating cloud-based digital solutions for public sector application areas such as edtech, smart infrastructure, healthcare, and agriculture.
In their efforts to create workable solutions that satisfy the demands of the public sector, ISVs and startups must overcome a number of obstacles, such as understanding the rapid pace of technological advancement and choosing which technologies to use, cutting down on time-to-market, and offering solutions with improved governance and data security to the public sector’s clients. By providing ISVs and startups, both early-stage and mature, with the technical and business know-how and capabilities to bring their ideas to market, build and scale their solutions to meet the needs of public sector organizations, and ultimately help them deliver citizen services more effectively, Crayon and AWS India hope to address this through the incubation center.
AWS, Crayon, and its partners will provide ISVs and startups with support at the incubation center to help them realize their business ideas utilizing the cloud and scale their solutions for consumers more quickly. Training on developing a cloud business strategy is part of this, covering topics like go-to-market tactics, software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution development, infrastructure migration, and leveraging advanced cloud capabilities like artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML). Through networking events led by Crayon at the center, such as roundtable discussions and executive briefings where ready-to-market ISVs can showcase their solutions to public sector clients, participants will also make connections in the public sector. Every year, after an average of six to nine months incubation, ISVs and startups will graduate from the incubation center.
According to Vikas Bhonsle, CEO of Crayon Software Experts India, “India has the third largest startup hub in the world, and local ISVs and startups have groundbreaking ideas that solve meaningful public sector challenges and drive positive citizen outcomes.” “We are leveraging Crayon’s decades of experience working with ISVs to assist these startups realize their ideas by opening our first ISV Incubation Center in India. We are excited to work with AWS on this historic project; AWS’s most extensive and comprehensive suite of cloud services, in-depth knowledge of the public sector, and worldwide presence will be vital in assisting more emerging ISVs and startups in expanding and growing.
In order to support the Incubation Center, AWS and Crayon will expedite the ISVs’ development to join the AWS Partner Network (APN), a global community of over 100,000 partners in 150 countries that provides partners with access to funding, go-to-market resources, technical know-how, and enhanced customer visibility. In addition to providing technical validation through the AWS Well-Architected Review process, which enables partners to assess architectures and create scalable designs, AWS and Crayon will work together to onboard the identified ISVs to the APN. After that, ISVs will gain knowledge about customer procurement routes and work toward achieving go-to-market (GTM) readiness, which entails creating business plans, creating novel solutions to meet market demands, planning customer accounts, fostering fruitful customer interactions, and expanding their company.
According to a recent Accenture analysis commissioned by AWS, small enterprises in India’s healthcare, agricultural, and education sectors alone may unlock up to ₹1.6 trillion in annual productivity gains by 2030—a 152% increase over current levels—by embracing cloud-enabled technology. Sunil PP, Lead—Education, Space, Non-profits, Channels and Alliances, AWS India Private Limited, stated, “Many innovative population-scale solutions are being built in India on the cloud to deliver significant value to citizens in healthcare, agriculture, financial inclusion, and education.” “India has a unique opportunity for digital technology innovation due to its size and demographic variety, thus it’s critical to support local firms in their efforts to create solutions that directly address these problem areas. As part of its commitment to helping regional small businesses create positive social and economic effects, AWS is happy to work with Crayon to give domestic ISVs and startups the tools they need to innovate in the cloud.
“We can take advantage of AWS’s extensive array of cloud services to boost our market preparedness and innovate faster in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. “We are excited to leverage Crayon’s ISV Incubation Center to expedite our software development lifecycle,” stated Gagandeep Randhawa, Chief Executive Officer of EaseMyAI, an ISV that creates cutting-edge AI products that simplify automation for companies, governments, and the education sector. Randhawa is also looking forward to connecting with Crayon and AWS’s extensive customer and partner network to strengthen and expand their presence.
